We purchased the K9 Boss Large Heavy-Duty Collapsible Crate for our 60-pound Belgian Malinois and have it secured in the bed of our Toyota Tacoma with stainless steel chain and four keyed-alike padlocks. If you know "Maligators," you know they require equipment that is truly escape-proof and built to last. This crate delivers.
What makes this model especially useful is that it's collapsible without sacrificing strength. Most of the time, we keep it secured in the truck bed, but next month our dog will be attending her first AKC show. The crate is light enough to transport, quickly and easily folds down, and can be carried to the event site and set back up in just a minute or two.
Security was another major selling point for us. The locking system is excellent, and if you're leaving your dog in the crate while running into a store, there's also the option of adding a quality padlock. Not that anyone would be foolish enough to open a Belgian Malinois's crate and try to steal her!
I also want to mention the outstanding customer service from K9 Boss. Living in Hawaii, we've learned over the past 35 years that it's smart to keep spare parts for anything that's not readily available on the island. I contacted K9 Boss because I wanted an extra latch on hand—Murphy's Law says if a latch is ever going to fail, it'll happen on the morning of a dog show.
Erica was fantastic. She responded quickly, answered all my questions, and promptly shipped the extra latch I requested. It's refreshing to work with a company that provides such responsive, friendly support.
If you have a strong, determined dog—or simply want one of the safest, most durable crates available for your four-legged family member—I highly recommend K9 Boss. This crate is exceptionally well-built, versatile, secure, and backed by excellent customer service. We absolutely love it.

This kennel fits in the back seat area of my 2023 f150. Was easy to set up and fits my German Shepherd.

I’ve been really impressed with the K9 Kennel Boss kennel so far. The build quality feels extremely sturdy and secure, while still being surprisingly easy to break down and store when not in use. One of my favorite features is how compact and portable it becomes, which makes it perfect for transporting in the back of an SUV while giving your dog a safe and comfortable space during travel. You can tell a lot of thought went into both the durability and practicality of the design.

Good idea to have spares on hand.

It was a bit of a challenge to put together the first time, but I've got the hang of it now. This is a great portable option for my super-chewer, anxiety-ridden. I was getting tired of dragging his massive crate to the dog sitters for vacation. This crate makes it much easier. We're actually taking our boy on vacation with us thanks to the collapsible crate.

Definitely well built, solid and I'm pretty certain it's escape proof LoL. Except the cats love to sleep in it also LoL. It was easy to assemble.

Excellent purchase, worth every cent! Other regular crates were much too small for our 90 lb Doodle to even walk into. The very large travel/crash crates were exorbitantly expensive, heavy and would have been ok if we needed that.All we needed was something the dog could comfortable get in, turn around, lay down- nothing less. One more requirement-as an almost 70 yr old woman- I needed it to be light enough to transport in the event of hurricane shelter need for the rare- ‘take it we might need it trip’. And we have. Perfect for us.

The Modular Crate Carts went together smoothly and well, and they really make my crates so easy to move now. That's important to me, because I'm 71 years old and have four German Shepherd Dogs!

Fits the large heavy duty crate perfectly and seems to of great quality. Looks great in the gray colored crate.

Seems to be well built and fits perfectly in the back seat of a 2025 GMC 3500HD Crew Cab truck.

Rolling kennels around made easy!

I’m a dog trainer, and I’ve handled a great many kennels and crates.

When it comes to equipment, there’s a saying: “Buy it nice, or buy it twice”— and this kennel is seriously nice!

Safety and quality construction are two aspects I will not compromise on, and I find this to be a really impressive product. I will never worry about a dog hurting themselves or escaping this kennel. And the tan color looks really nice!

The folding convenience is seriously nice too, I can transport this kennel easily around the house or stowed away in vehicles a full-size kennel wouldn’t normally fit in.

The pad was a must have, it’s a perfect fit and makes comfort and cleaning next level!
